The short version
The LegalConverter application itself processes no personal data of ours — it runs entirely offline on your machine, has no account, sends nothing anywhere, and we never see your submissions or your clients' data. This policy therefore concerns only two things: this website, and the business contact details we use to introduce the product.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data described in this policy is:
FILMVISION — Studio Filmowe Dawid Grzesik
ul. Lindleya 16
02-013 Warsaw, Poland
VAT / NIP: PL9211923367
A sole proprietorship registered in Poland (CEIDG). LegalConverter is a product of this business, published under the AIOCODES name.
Email: contact@legalconverter.com
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. Any privacy question goes directly to the address above and is answered by a person, not a ticketing system.
2. The software
LegalConverter is a desktop application. It is worth being precise about what this means for your data:
- It runs fully offline. It makes no network connections in normal operation.
- There is no account, no login, no cloud storage and no telemetry.
- Your submission documents — including client names, matter descriptions and lawyer biographies — never leave the machine the software runs on. We have no technical means of accessing them.
- We do not receive usage statistics, crash reports or any other data from installed copies.
If you send us a document voluntarily — for example, a sample submission attached to a support question — we use it solely to answer that question and delete it once the matter is closed.
3. This website
This site uses no cookies and shows no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is a privacy-preserving, cookieless service: it records aggregate figures such as page, referrer, country, browser and device type. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint visitors and does not build cross-site profiles. We cannot identify an individual visitor from it.
Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, for the purpose of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Business contact data and our outreach
If you received an email from us, this section is the one that concerns you.
What we hold
Business contact details only: name, job title, employer, work email address, and where relevant a work telephone number and the source we obtained them from. We hold no private or special-category data, and we do not enrich records with data from social profiles.
Where it came from
From publicly available professional sources — typically the firm's own website, its published directory submissions, or a professional listing. Every email we send names the specific source for that record. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not guess or generate email addresses from name patterns.
Why we process it
To introduce a software product that is directly relevant to the recipient's professional role — specifically, to people responsible for business development or directory submissions at law firms. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We have carried out and documented a balancing test. In short: the message is strictly business-to-business, sent to a work address, about a tool used in the recipient's own job; it is low-volume and not repeated indefinitely; and it contains no tracking. We consider this to fall within the reasonable expectations of someone in that role. You may disagree — and if you do, the next paragraph applies without qualification.
How to make it stop
Reply with the word "no" — or anything to that effect — and that is enough. We will stop writing immediately and permanently. You do not need to give a reason, quote a legal provision or use a particular form of words.
We keep your email address on a suppression list for the sole purpose of ensuring you are never contacted again. This is the one case where deleting your data entirely would work against you, so we retain the minimum needed to honour your objection. If you would rather we erase the record completely, say so and we will.
How long we keep it
If you do not respond, we delete the record within 12 months of first contact. If you object, the address moves to the suppression list described above and everything else is deleted. If a business relationship begins, retention is governed by that relationship and by Polish accounting law.
No tracking
Our emails contain no tracking pixels, no read receipts and no wrapped links. We cannot tell whether you opened a message or clicked anything. We know only whether you replied.
5. Who else sees the data
| Recipient | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ireland Ltd. (Workspace) | Our email inbox | EU |
| Vercel Inc. | Website hosting and analytics | USA (SCCs / DPF) |
| Woodpecker.co S.A. | Sending and tracking replies to outreach email | Poland (EU) |
Each acts as a processor under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- Rectify anything inaccurate;
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to processing — including an absolute, no-questions-asked right to object to direct marketing (Art. 21(2));
- Data portability, where applicable;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email contact@legalconverter.com. We respond within 30 days and usually much sooner. There is no charge.
Our lead supervisory authority is the Polish Data Protection Authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl). You may also complain to the authority in your own country of residence.
7. Security
Contact data is held in Google Workspace and in our outreach tool, both protected by two-factor authentication and access limited to the business owner. Because the product is offline by design, there is no customer database of submission content to secure — which removes an entire category of risk for our clients.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects people we are already in contact with, we will say so in our next message to them rather than relying on you to check this page.
9. Contact
Questions, objections and erasure requests all go to the same place, and a person reads them:
